Day 4 | 5 Signs Your Discernment Is Under Attack

One of the most dangerous things the enemy can do is not attack our bodies, our finances, or our relationships, but attack our discernment.

Because if the enemy can distort what we perceive, what we think is right but is actually wrong, then he can influence what we choose.

Second Corinthians 11:14 (KJV) says, “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”

Satan is not transformed into something more obvious, like a demon with horns or something else evil. But an angel of light.

That means deception often looks righteous. It feels justified. It sounds spiritual.

Discernment under attack does not feel like darkness. It feels like confusion dressed as clarity.

So we start second-guessing convictions we once held strongly. We begin entertaining ideas that once disturbed us. We grow comfortable with what we used to question.

Isaiah 5:20 (KJV) warns, “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness…”

1. One sign our discernment is under attack is moral reversal.

Things that once grieved our spirits no longer bother us.Things that once required prayer now seem harmless.Compromise starts sounding mature.

That is not growth. That is erosion.

2. Another sign is constant confusion. God is not the author of confusion. So when our spiritual perception feels foggy for extended periods, when everything feels unclear, when we cannot settle in prayer, when our inner compass feels unstable, do not ignore that.

First Peter 5:8 (KJV) says, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.”

Be sober. That means clear-minded.

Discernment requires sobriety of spirit. If you are emotionally exhausted, spiritually distracted, and constantly overstimulated, your discernment weakens.

The enemy loves fatigue. Because tired believers stop testing what enters their lives.

3. Another sign our discernment is under attack is hypersensitivity to people but dullness toward God. You suddenly “discern” everyone else’s flaws. You notice motives everywhere. Suspicion increases. But your own heart goes unchecked.

Saints of God, that is not discernment. That is defensiveness.

Ephesians 6:12 (KJV) reminds us, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers…”

So if our spiritual awareness has shifted from identifying spiritual influence to obsessing over people as enemies, our focus has been redirected.

Discernment under attack becomes people-focused instead of spiritually aware.

4. Another sign is isolation.

When discernment is healthy, it operates within wisdom and counsel. When it is attacked, we begin to believe that we are the only ones seeing clearly in a particular situation and that everyone else is compromised.

Family, isolation feeds deception. And I have to particularly watch that. I don’t know about you.

5. And finally, another sign is overconfidence.

We stop praying before decisions because we assume we already know. We stop testing impressions because we trust our instincts completely.

But Scripture says test the spirits. Healthy discernment remains humble. It remains dependent. It remains accountable.

As we close, here is the encouragement: Spiritual attack does not mean spiritual defeat. If you recognise these signs, that is already evidence of awareness returning.

The question may be asked, then, how do I guard my discernment?

First, return to the Word daily. The Word helps you see things clearly. It reveals small compromises.

Second, reduce spiritual noise. Not every voice deserves access to your ear. Not every opinion deserves weight.

Third, pray specifically for clarity. Not just protection — clarity.

Fourth, stay connected to mature believers who can speak honestly into your life.

Family, discernment is not automatic. It must be guarded. Because in this hour, deception can be hard to recognise. It does not always arrive obviously wrong. It often arrives almost right.

And almost right is more dangerous than clearly wrong.

So what do we do? Be sober. Be vigilant. Stay humble. Stay anchored.

Why? Our discernment is worth protecting.

Why? Because when our perception is clear, our decisions align. And when our decisions align, our destiny stays intact.

So, Family, we will sharpen our spirits.

And we will guard our clarity.

Day 3 | Not Every Open Door Is From God

Again, this topic is deeply personal to me. Today, we are talking about open doors. And as Christians, we love open doors, don’t we? Because we say, "Oh, this is an answer to prayer. God is so good!”
