1 Corinthians 15:22 (NIV) – “For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.”
When Adam sinned, death entered the human story. Not just physical death, but spiritual separation from God.
Yet through Christ, life reentered the picture. The first Adam brought a curse; the Second Adam brought a CURE. Through one man came the fall; through another came the resurrection.
Romans 5:17 (NLT) declares, “For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and His gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ.”
That’s the power of redemption: Jesus didn’t come to repair what was broken; He came to restore what was lost. When Jesus rose from the grave, He didn’t just conquer death; He reestablished dominion.
The same authority Adam forfeited in the garden, Christ reclaimed at the cross. That’s why 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV) proclaims, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
This means your story, my story, doesn’t have to be like Adam’s failed story. It can reflect Christ’s victory. It’s a choice that we have to make.
So we are not doomed by what we inherited; we are defined by who redeemed us. The blood of Jesus didn’t just cover sin; it canceled its power. Jesus’ resurrection didn’t just change eternity, rather, it transformed today.
Many believers still live as though they’re trapped in the garden, haunted by guilt or shame. But resurrection power means we are no longer living under the fall, we are living above it. The curse has been reversed. Through Christ, we now reign in spiritual authority, peace, and freedom.
Where Adam’s disobedience opened the door to bondage, Jesus’ obedience opened the way to grace. Through the first man came defeat; through the second came dominion. Adam reached for the fruit of knowledge and fell, but Christ stretched out His hands on the cross and finished redemption’s work.
What does this mean for us today?
Family, today is our new beginning. We don’t have to strive for victory, we can start from a place of victory. The resurrection isn’t just a story we celebrate, it’s the power we carry.
Because the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now lives in you and in me, empowering us to walk in righteousness, authority, and purpose.
So, stop living like a victim of Adam’s fall and start walking as a victor through Christ’s triumph. Let us stop blaming Adam and Eve for our mistakes. We are empowered to change and walk in righteousness because of what Jesus did for us on the cross of Calvary.
The old has passed away, and the new has begun. The curse is broken, dominion is restored, and the Second Adam reigns forever.
