Day 5 | Can God Rewrite Your Story? Who Created the Rules | What the Bible Really Says

We have come a long way this week. We have asked hard questions and let the Bible answer them. We found out that God did not create sin. We found out that He is sovereign over everything including the hard things. We found out that God is not the author of unnecessary guilt. We found out that the choice was always ours. And now we arrive at the question that matters most personally — after everything I have done, after all the choices I made, after all the guilt I carried, whether it came from God's Word or from man's tradition — can God still rewrite my story?

Father, we thank You for every person who showed up this week and chose to sit with Your Word instead of running from it. Thank You for bringing us through five days of truth that could have been uncomfortable but was wrapped in Your love. As we close this series today, we don't leave the same way we came. Something shifted. Something was planted. We ask that You water it and let it grow in us long after this session ends. Guide our steps from here, not just until the next time we feel convicted, but every ordinary day in between. Keep us full. Keep us sensitive. Keep us walking in what You've shown us this week. We are grateful, and we are Yours. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Jeremiah 29:11 is a verse most of us know: 'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end.' God's thoughts towards us are not thoughts of condemnation. They are thoughts of peace. They are thoughts of a future. That is who God is toward us right now; not angry, not disgusted, not finished with us, no matter what we’ve done to misrepresent Him.

But let's go further than a familiar verse. Let's look at people whose stories God actually rewrote.

Rahab was a prostitute. She is listed in the lineage of Jesus Christ in Matthew 1:5. God did not just forgive her — He wrote her into the most important bloodline in human history. And as a note, the King James Version calls her Rachab, but they are the same; it’s just how the King James Version transliterates her name from the Greek.

The Apostle Paul, before he was Paul, was Saul, and he was killing Christians. Acts 9 tells us God stopped him on a road, called him by name, and redirected his entire life. That same man wrote most of the New Testament.

Peter denied Jesus three times on the night it mattered most. John 21 shows us Jesus restoring him personally, asking him three times, ‘Do you love me?’, and giving him an assignment that would shape the early church.

Family, God does not just forgive. He restores. He reassigns. He takes the story you were sure was over and finds the chapter you did not know was still coming. Glory to Jesus! Hallelujah!

Romans 8:1 says it plainly: 'There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.' Not less condemnation. Not condemnation on hold. No condemnation. None. That is where we stand right now if we are in Christ.

This week we asked who made the rules. We found out that not every rule came from God. Some of the guilt we have been carrying was never from God in the first place. But we also found out that where we genuinely missed the mark, and we all have, God's response was never to discard us. His response was J E S U S - Jesus.

Your story is not over. My story is not over. God already holds every chapter. God saw the last page before He wrote the first word, and He has never once changed His mind about us. Bless the name of the Lord! I am so grateful, and I can imagine that you are as well.l
