Revelation 22:1–2 (NIV) – “Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life… and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.”

Do we realise, Family, that the Bible ends where it began?

What do we mean by that?

I’m glad you asked. And for those who said yes, they know this, correct me if I am wrong: The story of Scripture comes full circle - from the loss of paradise in Genesis to the restoration of paradise in Revelation. Hallelujah.

What humanity forfeited through sin in the first garden, God restores through Christ in the eternal one. Isn’t that amazing?

In Genesis, we lost access to the tree of life; in Revelation, we see it again, restored and flourishing. That’s not a coincidence; that’s completion. God’s plan was never destruction, it was restoration.

And restoration isn’t just a heavenly promise, it’s a present reality.

John 10:10 (NLT) says, “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”

That means you don’t have to wait for eternity to live abundantly, you can start now. God’s Spirit is already working to bring life where there was loss, and healing where there was hurt.

But restoration takes participation.

Isaiah 58:11 (NIV) says, “The Lord will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.”

That’s Eden language: flourishing, full, and fruitful. God doesn’t just want to bring us back to Eden; He wants Eden to bloom in us.

So what does your “garden” look like right now? Is it dry?

Maybe you’ve lost joy, peace, or purpose. But God specializes in revival. He turns wastelands into watering holes.

When you forgive, obey, and walk by faith, you start tending the soil of your soul again. Restoration is daily work: pulling weeds of bitterness, planting seeds of truth, and watering them with prayer.

Family, it is past time for us to stop blaming Adam and Eve for our shortcomings, our failures, our wrongdoing. It is time for us to take back our Eden.

That means taking back our peace. It means guarding our hearts like Adam was meant to guard the garden. It means saying, “Lord, whatever You plant in me, I’ll nurture it; whatever You prune, I’ll trust You with it.”

That’s restoration at work.

So don’t wait for heaven to experience Eden’s blessings. Let us start cultivating them now.

The same river that flows from God’s throne flows into every heart that welcomes His presence. Now is not the time, as a matter of fact, it is never the time for us to dwell on the sins of our past. We must not allow what Adam and Eve did to make us stumble. We must look to what Jesus came to do for us - bring salvation and redemption.

We are not waiting to enter paradise. We are learning to live like we belong there already.

God’s story ends where it began: in fellowship, in fruitfulness, in flourishing.

So today, let Him restore what was lost, rebuild what was broken, and refresh what’s been dry.

Your Eden, my Eden, is not gone. It is just waiting to grow again.
