How to Live in Resurrection Power Every Day | DAY 1: START AGAIN

Family, many of us have moments where we feel like we’ve gone too far, done too much, or delayed too long.

And quietly, we begin to believe that where we are is where we will always be. We give up, we settle into the status quo, and we say: whatever.

That is not even acceptable in the natural, and even more so in our spiritual lives. Because our spiritual lives are not meant to be governed by what we feel, but by what God has already spoken.

The Word of God says in Zephaniah 3:17 (KJV): “The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.”

Family, that means God is not distant, and He is not done with us. He is right here, present, working, and still committed to us.

And that commitment is not just something we feel; it is something that has already been proven. Because the resurrection changes everything.

The Word of God says in 1 Peter 1:3 (KJV): “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

We are not just given hope, we are given living hope. Hope that is active. Hope that breathes. Hope that says something new can begin, even now.

So if we are feeling stuck, discouraged, or even ashamed of past decisions, we are not without hope. We are standing in the very place where we can begin again, by the grace of God.

And here’s the thing: starting again with God is not about going back. It’s about moving forward differently.

Because the Word also says in Romans 6:4 (KJV): “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”

Walk in newness of life. Not think about it. Not talk about it. Not wish for it. Walk in it. Amen?!

So the question becomes: what are we still holding on to that God has already buried? We have to be honest and get real with ourselves, Family.

Some of us are holding on to past mistakes. Some of us are holding on to old identities. Some of us are still living from old labels that God has already called us out of.

If something has been buried with Christ, it is not meant to be carried forward.

The Word reminds us in 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV): “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Family, “passed away” means it is no longer alive. So we have to stop trying to revive what God has already put to rest.

We say we want a new beginning, but we keep revisiting old conversations. When they come up, stop them, change the subject.

We say we want peace, but we keep replaying past failures. When we remember them, thank God for forgiveness and restoration.

We say we trust God, but we keep defining ourselves by what used to be. No! Accept the new person that you are becoming in Christ Jesus. Amen?!

Today, we encourage a shift. Because the same God who raised Jesus from the dead is the same Jesus who is committed to completing what He started in us.

As Philippians 1:6 (KJV) says: “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

So this is not on us to figure out alone. Because we will run into problems and discouragement.

Listen: God started it, and God will finish it. Hallelujah.

This means that where we are right now is not failure, it’s process. Even when it doesn’t feel like progress.

And for those of us who feel like we’ve wasted time, missed opportunities, or made wrong decisions, the Word of God gives us assurance in Joel 2:25 (KJV): “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten…”. Glory to God. This brings me such comfort.

Family, God is not just able to enable us to start again; He can restore. So we don’t have to stay stuck in regret. We don’t have to stay bound to what was. Instead, we make a decision to walk forward.

What does starting again spiritually look like?

It looks like choosing to believe God over our past.It looks like releasing what no longer aligns. It looks like taking one step forward, even if everything is not clear yet.

Because the Word says in Isaiah 43:18–19 (KJV): “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?”

Family, God is already doing a new thing. The question is: are we still looking at the old thing?

The invitation for us today is to shift our focus. Stop standing at what was and start walking into what we are becoming.

Because where we are is not the end; it is the moment we realise, align with, and choose to walk in what God has already done.
