One of the biggest struggles in a waiting season is not just trusting God once—it’s staying consistent in that trust.

Because some days, you feel strong. You’re praying, you’re focused, you’re encouraged. And on other days… you feel tired. Distracted. Even a little disconnected.

And the truth is, inconsistency is where many people lose momentum.

But here’s what we need to understand: God is not asking for perfection. He is asking for consistency.

Galatians 6:9 (KJV) encourages us: “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Notice that we must remain in that season of doing well; we must not faint. That means the promise is not just tied to what you do, it’s tied to whether you keep going.

Spiritual consistency is not about doing something big once. It’s about doing the right things repeatedly, even when you don’t feel like it.

Let’s make this real: Consistency looks like praying…even when we don’t feel emotional. Consistency looks like opening our Bible…even when we feel distracted. Consistency looks like choosing the right response…even when our flesh wants to react.

Because if we only show up when we feel like it, our faith will rise and fall with our emotions. But when we build consistency, our faith becomes stable.

Here’s a simple truth: Feelings change. God does not.

So if our spiritual life is built on feelings, it will always be shaky. But if it’s built on discipline and devotion, it becomes steady.

1 Corinthians 15:58 (KJV) says: “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord…”

Steadfast. Unmovable. That’s consistency. Not up today and down tomorrow. But grounded. Consistency is showing up… even when we don’t feel like it.

Now here’s where many of us struggle in waiting seasons. We slow down spiritually because nothing seems to be happening naturally.

But this is actually when we need consistency the most. Because what God is doing is not always visible.

We may not see progress…but growth is happening. We may not feel different…but strength is building. We may not have results yet…but roots are going deeper.

So what does applying this look like? It’s not complicated. Pick simple, steady habits: Pray—every day, even if it’s short. Read the Word—every day, even if it’s one passage. And obey what God already told you.

Don’t try to do everything at once. Just be consistent with something that keeps you connected to God.

Because let’s be clear: Consistency keeps us connected. And connection keeps us strong.

As I close, let me leave you with this: You don’t need to be perfect in this season. We just need to keep showing up. Even on the days we feel weak. Show up. Even on the days we feel distracted. Show up. Even on the days we feel nothing at all. Show up!

Because when we stay consistent, we position ourselves for the “due season” God promised.

So today’s focus is simple: Stay steady. Stay connected. Stay consistent.

Because our breakthrough is not just in what we do once…It’s in what we refuse to stop doing.
